Director's Statement:
My name is Sean Williams and this film, No Endings, was incredibly meaningful to me as a filmmaker. I always strive to challenge myself and work in different genres or styles. No Endings was no exception to that. Making a mix between a genre and a thriller was such a fun experiment, and as I usually do, I got to throw in a touch of sci-fi to elevate this out of our normal world. My vision for this film was to take you through Randi's journey, to give a sense of history to her character. It's as if we're jumping head-on into her pain and her passion, right at a turning point in her life. I wanted to give the audience the sense of what it might feel like if you could never stop running and what that would do to your mental and emotional states. I had never worked on a film of this scale before, both in terms of logistics, and in terms of budget. And I am beyond grateful that I got the change to with such a wonderful cast and crew. There were many influences in making this film, some were more obvious than others, but all were equally important in crafting the feelings behind the characters or story. Some examples include films like Logan, Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Eternals, and Hunger Games; and there were even some short films like The Volunteer and The Statement that helped me get my vision across. I hope that my work will impact others the way that those works have impacted me.
